Top Talent Hollywood Conference Recap: Our Biggest Insights, Connections and Creative Wins

December 10, 20252 min read

Last week, the JDS Creative Academy team had the incredible opportunity to attend the Top Talent Hollywood Conference, a hub of creativity, innovation and industry connections. Our team Diane Strand, Scott, Lynn, Jessie and Beatrice immersed themselves in two full days of sessions, panels and networking designed for artists, entrepreneurs and creative leaders. We were invited because of our commitment to inclusive arts education and creative entrepreneurship, and the energy in the room was absolutely contagious.

One of the clearest themes echoed throughout the conference was that creativity is currency in today’s entertainment and business world. Speakers emphasized the power of storytelling not just on stage or screen but as a tool to drive engagement, innovation and sales. Another recurring message was the importance of blending artistic passion with entrepreneurial thinking, giving artists the tools to manage their careers like businesses.

From workshops to keynote panels, we also noticed how industry leaders are prioritizing digital media innovation, inclusive representation and collaboration across disciplines. These insights reaffirm our belief that the future of arts education lies in preparing students not only to perform but to lead creatively in every sector.

Our very own Diane Strand took the stage to present the CreativePreneur Starter Kit, a hands-on guide to help artists turn creativity into sustainable careers. Beyond the session, our team made meaningful connections with potential partners, future collaborators and mentors who share our vision for empowering emerging talent. Networking was not just a side activity, it was a masterclass in community building.

So what does this mean for our students, artists and families? Everything we learned is coming back to enhance our programs. From workshops focused on storytelling and business skills to mentorship opportunities with industry professionals, our community will benefit directly from the strategies, tips and inspiration gained at the conference.
